The Grounded Learning Team have significant experience in developing counselling and support initiatives for individuals and families within Education, Health, Corporate and Third Sector for over three decades.  They also have significant experience in working in private practice, service management, supervision, and training.  With expertise in Pluralistic, Person Centred, Existential, Psychodynamic and CBT modalities, their breadth and depth of experience become apparent in the quality of content and delivery of courses and support services.

As trainers, they share a passion and commitment for supporting counselling students to become ethical, competent, capable, and reflective practitioners in their field drives their enthusiasm in taking a lead role in developing and delivering the courses across Scotland. They continue to expand their team to include homegrown counsellors and trainers as well as drawing trainers from the professional landscape to join the team.

Grounded Learning offer validated, high quality counselling training and services for all. We recognise that accessibility and inclusivity are a challenge when considering the next steps. With that in mind we have done our best to remove some of the barriers to training which include a programme which offers evening and weekend, online only or blended learning options. Grounded Learning courses reach students across Scotland and beyond with training centres throughout Scotland in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Kilmarnock and also developing our ability to deliver courses in community spaces .

We have also developed the Grounded Learning Giveback Scheme and invite Scottish Third Sector organisations to nominate dedicated volunteers to access funded places on our COSCA Counselling Skills courses.
